(Sorry these pictures are mainly about Brooklyn. Weird how she's the focus of EVERYTHING. Don't worry, she's not spoiled!)

Home at last...
Mom was able to stay a few days longer than Dad, so she came back down with us to Southern Utah. We didn't have a whole lot planned, but we managed to do some pretty fun things. Playing outside on the grass, going to Tim's graduation, relaxing, going to my cake class, going to see a few historical sites, and playing at the creek/splash pad. We're glad Emily could come down for a few days too.

Moving, moving, and more moving...
It was a crazy few days near the end of April. To start things off, we packed everything up and moved in with Tim's parents. The moving actually went very smoothly because we had so much time beforehand to get things boxed up, AND, we had lots of great help. During our limbo time between Cedar and Enterprise, we also were able to help Tim's brother move. Then back to Cedar, where Tim and I spent 16+ hours cleaning our apartment. No, we didn't make it that dirty, but yes, we were concerned about getting the full deposit back (PS. We did!). That apartment looked 20x better than when we moved in! I hope the new move-ins appreciated our work.
ANYWAYS.... we checked out of the apartment and headed straight to Provo to help celebrate Benjamin's graduation and help them move out of their apartment as well. It was awesome to get to visit with my mom and dad while they were in town too. Then after the boys got on the road, we spent a little time enjoying Provo, particularly the duck pond. Brooklyn LOVED the ducks! If you don't know, Brooklyn's first word was "duck." She loves ducks and can find a duck in any room that has one. So it was no surprise when she loved the real ducks too.

My Cake Class!!!
True to my word on my blog about making sugar cookies for Valentine's Day, I finally found a cake decorating class. Armed with my kit and book for Course 1, and after convincing friends and family to join with me, I went to the first class. I soon found out that it wasn't going to be as inexpensive as I was told by the employees at the store... in fact, I ended up returning the basic kit and buying the tool caddy of all tool caddies, PLUS a bunch of other "necessities." This is apparently, a VERY expensive hobby. Tim was very supportive as always and pushed me to get everything I would need-- so I did. :)
I just wanted to show my skills, that's why I'm blogging about it. Though they are amateur skills, they are skills nonetheless! I know they're not much, but for now, they're all I've got!
I need to get a copy of the picture of my cake from the first week... so I will put that on later. But here are my cakes from my second and third week, as well as a picture of Tana's cake from week 3. Rashann-- your pictures are soon to be posted too!
Tonight I start Course 2. Wish me luck!
This was supposed to have clowns on it, but I needed to make a cake for Tim's graduation party...

Ahhh warmness!
Finally we have a few days of warm weather! I'm not getting too excited, it might snow tomorrow... but until then, we're soakin' up some sun-- finally!!! I'm sure I'll be praying for snow in July in Phoenix, but oh well. As for now, I'm ready for spring/summer/anything that resembles warmness and shorts with flip flops.
10 months!
Here we are again at another month-mark. Brooklyn is now 10 months old!
I...

-sleep from about 9 pm to 7-8 am
-love Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, unless a particular bear that plays it is going (then I burst into tears... it's bizarre)
-don't want to waste time with baby food... I want the real stuff
-have one tooth in the front
-still love taking baths
-love it when Daddy does my hair in the bathroom
-love cell phones
-crawl VERY fast
-can stand by myself for a few seconds if tricked into it
-like being around mommy and daddy
-am very smiley
-giggle a lot
-like to eat everything on the floor
-love turning the pages of books
-love seeing myself in the mirror and in pictures
-love looking at animals, except cats
-LOVE RUBBER DUCKIES
-can say "duck" (we think)
-have the prettiest blue eyes
-wear size 3 diapers and 12 month clothes

Gone Fishin'
Finally the weather was a little nicer so Brooklyn and I went fishing with Tim and Grandpa Shurtliff a few days ago. Brooklyn LOVED it, and did so much better than I thought she might. She loved watching the fish and playing with the rocks, and never even tried to crawl into the water! We even got a nice nap in...
