3 months old, you better believe it

Wow, I can't believe Brooklyn is 3 months old already. WE MADE IT!!!
We decided that the occasion called for some 3-month day cake (What occasion doesn't call for cake? Honestly...)
Also, we are trying to take a picture of her each month with this sock monkey so we can see how much bigger she's gotten in relation to something else. She's definitely growing!

Corn, Corn, Corn

Finally the pictures from the cornfest!
We went to Enterprise for the annual cornfest and as usual, had a great time. We wandered around the booths for a while, finally spending a little cash to get some jalapeno jelly and then some AMAZING scones with honey butter. MMMMM they were good.
Then we headed over to the pavilion to help Larry B with the dutch oven dinner he was doing with the Basketball team as a fundraiser. We helped shuck the corn for the dinner, and thankfully, were told we could stop a little before we finished shucking all 1500 ears. Yeah, I know. That's a lot of corn.
Thanks to our hard work, we earned ourselves a wonderful dinner!!!

Date Night-- Finally!

So I've realized.. I actually do have things to talk about. Here I was thinking there was nothing to say, and VOILA! My life isn't as boring as I thought!...

So Friday night finally came around again, and though Friday night isn't exactly set aside as "date night" for us, I had been hinting that I desperately wanted to go on a date. I might have been thinking more along the lines of a date that included getting a babysitter... but hey, a date is a date-- and I'll take it when it comes! We decided to go up to Discovery Park, Park Discovery-- whatever it's name is, and take some pictures. Thought you might like to see them!

Bath Time!

It's too bad we all can't look so cute when we're completely naked and in the bath tub (Or is it... hmmm). Brooklyn loves bath time, especially when Daddy gives her the bath. He lets her play for way too long... particularly if I'm trying to get her to bed. He has a secret agenda: keep her up as long as possible so he can play with her. Who has to deal with the repercussions when she's exhausted and GRUMPY the next day? That would be me. But, for these pictures, I think it's worth it!

Nothing much to say

I don't really have any great news to report. We are still waiting on pictures from the cornfest to come back to us, so when I get those, I will surely post them. Let's see... In lieu of anything interesting to talk about, I'll just put up some pictures. Gosh, it's too bad these don't do Brooklyn justice. Seriously (and I'm not just trying to brag because she's mine), I think I have the cutest little girl in the world!

Brooklyn's First Fishing Trip!

We finally found a lifejacket for Brooklyn... so it was time. Time for her first fishing trip! We're not sure she loved being in the lifejacket, but I'm not sure I blame her. If you'll notice, because she doesn't have a neck yet, her head is... well, you can see for yourself. She finally gave up struggling and fell asleep for a while. She must have known something we didn't, because we certainly didn't catch any fish!

Cuter and Cuter, Everyday!

We haven't really had anything too exciting to blog about. On August 11th we went up the mountain with Tana, Ben, Austen, and Brooks to hang out where they've recently left their camper. This was Brooklyn's first weinie roast!

Since then... not a whole lot has happened. But after this weekend we should have more to blog about.
Brooklyn is definitely getting cuter by the day. Just to prove it, here's a few pictures of her!
